YEAR 5 & 6 CHRISTMAS CONCERT - WEDNESDAY 13TH NOVEMBER 2023

Dear Parents and Carers,

Re: Year 5 & 6 Christmas Concert

We would like to invite you to a Christmas concert performed by a combination of Year 5 and Year 6 pupils who have volunteered to participate. It will be held at Reigate Parish Church Primary School in the Junior Hall. The children will be performing a combination of classic Christmas carols and pop songs. If there are any additional Year 5 and 6 children who would still like to participate in group songs, please ask them to go and see Mr Murtugh by Friday 1st December, alternatively email: jmurtagh@reigate-parish.surrey.sch.uk

Tickets:

The performance will be on Wednesday 13th December from 6:30pm and will be finished before 7:30pm.

Tickets will be available to book on Arbor under ‘School Shop’ from 6pm on Friday 24th November. Tickets will be available on a first come, first serve basis, and will cost £3 each with proceeds going to the PTA. There will not be a limit on the number of tickets available per child due to the smaller number of participants. We hope this will allow for more family members to enjoy the concert. You will not receive physical paper tickets. Adults on the door will have lists and oversight of the tickets you have requested for the performance. Thank you for kindly supporting us with this.

If you do not see tickets available to book for the concert, this means that all tickets have been allocated and are no longer available.

The performance will not be filmed. We ask you to adhere to our safeguarding policy that adults do not film or photograph the performance please to keep all children safe.

Arrangements:

Children must arrive at school at 6:15pm. They will be registered in Kestrels class. Please drop your child off at the main outside door of the junior block before making your way via the green gate at the side of the Junior Hall for the performance.

At the end of the performance, children will be dismissed from the hall, but they must let a member of staff know so they can be checked off the register.

If your child is to be picked up by an adult who is not their parent or carer, please notify the class teacher via email as soon as the change is known.

Kind regards,

Mr Murtagh

RAINBOW FRIENDS VIDEO GAME AND YOU TUBE CARTOON

Should your child be watching this show?

Dear parents and carers of KS1,

It has been brought to our attention that children in Year 2 have been watching something called "Rainbow Friends" on YouTube at home. We believe it is inappropriate because it has a lot of violence in it and there are characters in this show that many Year 2 children would find frightening.

The Rainbow Friends cartoon on YouTube derives from the Roblox game, and the game suggests the age limit of 10+ years old.

We want to make all KS1 parents aware of this show and ask you to ensure you are always aware of what your child/ren are watching at home.

Many thanks,

Miss Rossi

Dragonflies Teacher
