Our Vision
The school's vision is for all children and adults to reach to achieve their best, rooted in the belief that God desires everyone to fulfil their capabilities.
The distinctive vision, values, and ethos of Reigate Parish Church Primary School is shaped by our Church of England faith and a desire to have God at the centre of all we are and do. Our vision fits our community because we know and serve our neighbourhood and for the reason that our locality needs us.
The vision, values and ethos of the school are demonstrated by key Bible verses that exemplify our key Christian values, which are integrated into the school's daily life and shared collective worship. The values include inclusivity, caring, trust, perseverance and understanding. Our desire is that all our children, by daily living out our Christian values, will leave being more responsible, engaged, adventurous, creative, and honest.
The school's vision is summarised in the key bible verse "love your neighbour as yourself" (Mark 12:31) which is Jesus’ second greatest commandment. The verse is important because it emphasises service, friendship, respect, kindness, and forgiveness.
Our "secrets of success" are practical tools to help children in their learning and they align with the Christian values, promoting qualities like honesty, concentration, pushing oneself, understanding others, and creativity.
Our values are derived from the fruit of the Holy Spirit which is sent to help all children and adults live their lives. We are deliberate in promoting them to everyone: love, joy, peace, self-control, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Overall, Reigate Parish Church Primary School aims to create an integrated and positive Church of England culture that embodies Christian values, fostering academic, emotional, and social fulfilment for both children and adults within the school community, where all flourish. The vision emphasises the school's Church of England identity, with a deep theological vision grounded in the Bible, God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. The ultimate goal is not only to have a positive impact on pupils, staff and the broader community by teaching Christian values and principles, but also embodying these in our shared life together.
