HELPING IN RECEPTION AND APPLYING FOR A DBS
Dear Reception parents and carers,
After October half term we would love to welcome parent helpers into Reception. We are always grateful for help from parents, to listen to the children read, help with special activity days, e.g. Christmas making day, or assist with school trips.
In order to help in school, parents do need a RPCPS DBS. Even if you have a DBS through another organisation, you still need to apply for a DBS specifically for RPCPS. When applying, it can take several weeks for the DBS to come through, so if you think helping in school is something you would like or have time to be involved with, please can you start applying for it now.
All details on how to apply for a RPCPS DBS can be found on the school website under Parents/Helping page, alternatively click on on the below link.
Many thanks,
The Reception team.

UPDATING CONTACT DETAILS ON ARBOR
Please can all Reception parents and carers remember to update a 2nd and ideally 3rd emergency contact on your child's Arbor profile. If you have problems doing this via the App, please try directly using the website.
Even if you already have a child here with 2 or 3 emergency contacts recorded on their record, unfortunately Arbor does not pull these details through to associated siblings.
