INVITATION TO VIEW AND LEARN ABOUT OPAL IN SCHOOL

Dear parents and carers,

See OPAL in school on Monday 10th March 2025

We are very excited to invite you to come to school to know and see more about the OPAL Primary Programme.

You are invited to come for the morning to hear from our OPAL representative all about the concept and to spend some time during the children’s lunchtime to see the children enjoying their OPAL lunchtimes. There will be, no doubt den making, dressing up, making up imaginative stories, playing with small toys and much more.

For safeguarding reasons only parents who have returned the form will be able to come onto the school site on Monday 10th March.

Please arrive at 11.15am at the junior hall green gate to be checked in for a presentation before joining the children at lunchtime.

We are really excited about OPAL and hope you can support us in our efforts to improve playtime for all our children.

If possible, please bring a loose part donation to help with den making, for instance: clean wood (no nails), tarp, plastic pipe (no sharp edges), plastic crates (no sharp broken bits). We are also always looking for ride-on toys, old suitcases, cable drums, hoses, office removal crates, old jackets, planks, plastic trugs, steering wheels, traffic cones, and logs.

Bring any donations to the school hall. Items will all be checked before going onto the playground.

Please dress for all weathers and for play.

YEAR 4, 5 & 6 - JOIN CHANNEL 4'S JUNIOR BAKEOFF

We have been contacted by the Series Producer at Love Productions; the production company behind The Great British Bake Off.

Applications for the 11th series of Junior Bake Off have recently opened and they are contacting schools regarding this exciting opportunity to students.  

Interested bakers can apply online at - www.applyforjuniorbakeoff.co.uk 

They are looking for young budding bakers between 9-15 years old. 

Filming would take place from July 2025, but applications close on Sunday 23rd March 2025.
