| Our family moved to Redhill from East London in 2001 and joined Holy Trinity church in 2002. We have three adult children at whose London primary I completed a four-year term as parent-governor, the last as Chair. I moved from Devon to study in London and spent a year in Germany working in a comprehensive (age 10-16) and six primary schools and graduating worked in the IT industry. Since moving to Surrey, I have worked at local primary and secondary schools, including eleven years as a Teaching Assistant. I look forward to bringing my experience to Reigate Parish School as a Foundation Governor.

| I joined Reigate Parish as an experienced Year 6 teacher in 2019, later becoming part of the maths team and Assessment Lead for the school. I have enjoyed working here and wanted to continue to give back to the school by becoming a governor - a role I had previously undertaken at a former school. It is my aim to ensure there is an effective balance between staff workload and pupil progress through high expectations, challenging where necessary but also supporting the school vision to ensure children feel that their time here has been a success across all aspects of school life.

| As the Vicar of St Mary’s Reigate, I joined the Governor’s when I arrived in July 2018. It is wonderful to be a part of such a strong team here. Having been a governor for 18 years I am very keen to play my part in creating a school environment that values every child’s unique character and personality, and which supports parents in their primary role, enabling children to flourish. It is a delight to see children learn within a Christian environment where questions of faith and meaning are woven into every aspect of learning, alongside prayer and reflection.
