YEAR 6 PARADE AND THE ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE FINAL DAY (22ND JULY 2025)
Dear ALL parents and carers,
It is a lovely school tradition that we have, to clap the year 6 children out of school as they leave on the last afternoon.
Staff are working hard to make this a memorable occasion for the Year 6 children and their parents, whilst ensuring the school are safe in the playground.
We need to make sure that the parade is SAFE for everyone because there will be a lot more people on the playground and all very happy because it is the end of the academic year. Therefore children need to be with their adult (parent if collected, teacher if not yet collected). Parents please remember this.
There are a lot of instructions so please read.
Gates open at 1.05pm and parents come onto site.
Year 6 parents line the playground in a BIG circle.
Classes dismiss at 1.10pm, parents collect their child/ren and then decide to stay for the parade or leave. If you are staying please have your child/ren with you (and pre-schoolers) as you join the circle of year 6 parents for the parade. Tea Club will collect their children and arrange for them to see the parade with the Tea Club staff.
Parents can also watch from the slope or muga.
Any children not collected go with their classteacher to the playground to watch the parade. Parents will remain coming onto the playground. At this time please do not try to collect your child until the parade is finished and keep pre-school children with you at all times.
Year 6 come out (with all their belongings) from the RGS / year 4 far door at 1.20pm to parade round.
Everyone is clapping, smiling, enjoying the occasion.
Once every year 6 child has walked round, then parents can collect their children from their teacher. There will be a lot of people on the playground and so parents need to go to the class teacher to physically collect their child.
All children collected, all go home safely. In this way all children are kept safe.
Year 6 children and their family are invited to stay behind for a short time and photos and time to say goodbye to staff. In line with the safeguarding protocols at school parents can take photos of their child.
Finally,
This event is very enjoyable and has to be managed very carefully with these detailed instructions. Thank you for reading and following this letter.
Kind regards
Mrs Davis and the Year 6 Team

OFSTED REPORT AND LETTER FROM MRS DAVIS
Dear Parents and Carers,
It is with great delight and a deep sense of pride that I share with you the Ofsted report following our recent inspection. I know the school governors join me in expressing how proud we all are of Reigate Parish and the commitment shown by every member of our school community in upholding our vision: that all children and adults reach to achieve their best, rooted in the belief that God desires everyone to fulfil their capabilities.
As you will recall, we were inspected on 10th and 11th June under the rigorous standards of the current Ofsted framework. We had what is termed an “ungraded” inspection.
I am pleased to inform you that the inspector found that Reigate Parish has taken effective action to maintain the standards identified at the previous inspection. Our last inspection took place in June 2018, when we were judged to be "Outstanding."
Under Ofsted's revised framework, schools are no longer given a single word judgment for ungraded inspections. However, the outcome of this inspection confirms that we continue to meet the high standards expected of an outstanding school, and we have successfully taken the necessary steps to maintain those standards.
Please do take the time to read the full report, which I have attached to this email.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support and partnership in making Reigate Parish such a special and successful school for your child.
Kind regards,
Mrs Davis

SUSPICIOUS BEHAVIOUR - UPDATE
Dear parents and carers,
Following the email earlier this week regarding the white van on Blackborough Road, it has come to the attention of numerous staff members that children throughout all year groups are talking about it and are aware of the detail in the email sent to parents.
We are very concerned that we now have children across the school feeling unsafe and frightened, and as a result are having to deploy staff, including the ELSA, to take children who are not feeling safe out of class to reassure them. Staff have had to deal with tears, anxiety and children telling other children they are going to be abducted.
From a safeguarding perspective the school felt it necessary to share this information with you, to enable you to talk to your child/ren about it an age-appropriate way. Whilst we understand there will always be playground chatter amongst the children, we strongly urge you to manage this type of information with your child/ren carefully and in a sensitive, age-appropriate manner in order not to alarm them.
Please can you reassure your child/ren they are safe.
Many thanks,
Mrs Davis
SUSPICIOUS BEHAVIOUR
Dear parents and carers,
A member of staff who lives on the corner of Chart Lane and Blackborough Road has advised they received a visit from the police last Thursday, to say a white van had been seen driving down Blackborough Road offering sweets to children.
Please be aware and alert the police of anything suspicious you may witness.
Please also have a discussion with your child about "stranger danger", the importance of not engaging with people they don't know and reiterate the need to make a parent/staff member immediately aware of anything like this happening to them. This is especially important for those Year 5 or 6 children who walk to/from school.
Many thanks.
