  •

To recap in the Summer term Mr Blackburn and Mr Cameron are the teachers in Honeybees.

Q&A about –

  • Looking at Year 3 teachers in KS2, and whilst Mrs Davis and Mrs Molica have not decided on classes next year, we are looking to give Honeybees stability.
  • Would school mix up the year 2 classes going into year 3? Mrs Davis said nothing has been decided and communication would be clear with parents, the earliest would be June for any communication.
  • Request for communication to be clearer and to parents directly.
  • Talked that school follows the behaviour policy (on website), all school have to have a behaviour policy
  • School follows, as do all schools, the Government expectations of behaviour, and their guidance on suspensions and exclusions (on website and you can google it).
  • The high expectations for behaviour.
  • The range of support school gives to all children from Reception to Year 6 with behaviour in the offer of reasonable adjustments, bespoke rewards, over staffing, changes in the curriculum, etc.
  • We are a maintained school
  • Mrs Davis has issued suspensions this year for children from year 1 – year 6.
  • Our experience as children get older, with the support from school and home and external professionals is that they do find strategies they can use to regulate their behaviour
  • Request that Alice from Kind Minds could work with Honeybees. She has done some work with them.
  • Mrs Molica said she is also looking at any other external professionals to work with Honeybees.
  •

What to look forward to in autumn term in year 3?

  • Year 3 lead Harvest assembly
  • Make cushions in DT
  • Whole day Christmas making day
  • Interesting topics  - Volcanoes and earthquakes in Geography, Light/shadows/rainbows in science.
  •
