YEAR 5 WALKING HOME INDEPENDENTLY FROM SCHOOL IN THE SUMMER TERM
Dear parents and carers,
You will notice a new Arbor consent open for you to approve or decline - Year 5 and 6 walking home from school. After Easter the school are happy, with your consent, for your child to walk home from school in the summer term.
Parents who wish their child to travel to/from school independently by whatever means, must:
1. Read the walking home independently policy - please refer to the below link.
2. Provide consent on Arbor.
3. Email your child's teacher to notify them.

4. Wait 48 hours’ notice so the teacher has seen the email, before your child walks to and from school independently. (Arbor does not automatically inform teachers when a consent has been changed.)

PANDAS - CHANGE IN PE DAY

MATERIAL REQUIRED FOR DT
Dear parents and carers,
Year 5 are making pop-up books in DT. Please can the children bring the following craft items in to school for Monday 26th January:
- 2x cereal boxes (empty)
- Glue stick
- Any craft/decorating items that will help to embellish their books. (some children are making textured 'feely' books)
In the last week of term, the year 5 children will be sharing their books with children from Reception and Year 1.

CHANGE IN YEAR 5 PE DAYS
Dear parents and carers,
Week 3 Pandas will have PE Wednesday and Thursday. This means no PE kit for Pandas on Friday.
Apologies for the inconvenience but we have to change some of Year 5's PE days this half term.
Please make a note of the following, which can also be found under the Curriculum/PE days pages or you can use the below link.
Y5 PE date amendments
Week 3 - w/c 19th January:
Wednesday 21st January - PE workshop with Dunottar sports coach for both Koalas and Pandas.
Thursday 22nd January - Pandas class will have PE, meaning NO PE kit for Pandas on Friday 23rd January.
Friday 23rd January - PE kit as usual for Koalas only
Week 4 - w/c 26th January:
No change to PE days
Week 5 - w/c 2nd February:
Wednesday 4th February - PE workshop with Dunottar sports coach for both Koalas and Pandas. (No PE kit for Thursday 5th February)
Friday 6th February - PE kit as usual for both classes
Week 6 - w/c 9th February:
No change for PE days
