YEAR 6 SATS AND RESIDENTIAL INFORMATION EVENING

Dear Year 6 Parents and Carers,

We will be holding a SATs and residential presentation evening on Wednesday 6th January 2027 from 6:00pm to 6:30pm in Kestrels classroom. This will be an opportunity to inform you about procedures and preparation for this aspect of Year 6. For those who are unable to make it in person, there will be an opportunity to access the evening via teams (a link will be emailed nearer the time) and the presentation will be available on our website after the event.

The Year 6 teachers will go through some of the ways they prepare the children for SATs week, including the work and revision done beforehand. This will ensure that you can feel confident that your children are sufficiently prepared for the tests in May.

It will also be an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the SATs, as well as to see the revision guides that the children will be using for homework and how the revision homework is timetabled. A separate letter regarding the revision guides will be sent in the coming weeks.

Furthermore, we will use this opportunity to share information about the Year 6 residential visit to Windmill Hill, which is taking place in June. This will be a chance to talk through the arrangements for the residential, outline what the children can look forward to, discuss practical details and answer any questions you may have to help you and your child feel fully informed and prepared for this exciting experience.

We look forward to seeing you then.

The Year 6 Team.
