HONEYBEES TEACHER - UPDATE
Dear Parents/Carers,
I am writing to follow up on my previous communication to provide the next update regarding the teaching arrangements for Honeybees.
I am really pleased to confirm that I have now appointed an additional, very experienced teacher, Mr Blackburn, to teach the class on Mondays (all day) and Tuesday mornings, starting from Monday 12 January 2026. Tuesday afternoon is the usual PPA staff who deliver guided reading, French, and RE. Mr Blackburn is enthusiastic about joining our school and very much looking forward to working with the Honeybees children.
As part of the appointment process, Mr Blackburn taught the class yesterday during his interview. This gave him an opportunity to begin getting to know the children and their routines, and it allowed us to see the positive way in which he engaged with the class and how well he taught.
To ensure continuity and consistency for the children, Mr Blackburn and Mr Cameron will work closely together. They will liaise regularly so that classroom structures, routines, expectations, and systems are aligned across the week.
Providing a consistent and well-organised learning environment remains a clear priority for us, particularly as we move forward into the spring term.
Mrs Sayer remains signed off sick at this time. Once I receive an update regarding her return, I will of course keep you informed.
I have on Thursday 18th December appointed a new Teaching Assistant for Honeybees to replace Mrs Hutchinson but until all the recruitment checks can be done one of our LSAs will be the TA support to the class. When the new TA starts I will let parents know.
Thank you for your continued support and for working with us during this period of change. Mrs Molica and I are confident that these arrangements will provide the stability and high-quality teaching that the Honeybees children need and deserve.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact school.
Yours sincerely,
Frances Davis
