SPORTS WEEK SUMMER TERM 2026

Sports Week
Dear Parents/Carers,
Commencing Monday the 29th of June, your child(ren) will be taking part in Sports Week. Sports week will run from Monday the 29th June to Friday the 3rd of July.
Sports week provides an opportunity for your child to work with different sporting organisations, and clubs to experience a range of sports. We are inviting athletes and parents into school to share their sporting passions.
Reception and Key Stage 1
For the children in Reception, they will participate in a sports afternoon at Reigate Parish on the MUGA. The children will participate in a variety of events that will include some competitive elements.
For the children in Year 1 and Year 2, they will be going to Reigate St Mary’s School field in the afternoon on Friday 3rd of July. Similarly, to Reception the children will participate in a variety of events that will include some competitive elements. We hope you can come along and support.
Key Stage 2
For the children in Key stage 2 they will be participating in a full day of athletic activities which will take place at the K2 Leisure Centre. This will give all children the opportunity to experience running on an athletic track and taking part in a competition.
Workshops
Alongside our sports day/ afternoons, the children will be taking part in a variety of workshops which will be led by external coaches. Please keep an eye on the Parish Post of regular updates about who will be coming in!
To facilitate this to happen we would ask parents for a voluntary donation of £10 per pupil, this would cover the costs of all sports workshops, travel to and hire of K2 and new sports equipment. We will ensure that Reception and Key Stage 1 have additional opportunities in school as they are not travelling to the K2. All payments can be made through Arbor.
Thank you,
Miss Warren
PE lead and Year 1 and 2 Phase Leader

SIAMS INSPECTION - UPDATE
Dear Parents and Carers
Following the letter sent out earlier this week telling parents we will have our SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) on Tuesday 20th January, the SIAMS inspector would like to speak with a representative group of parents as part of her evidence gathering. It is not parent governors nor staff who are parents because she will talk to these groups of people at a different time during her day in school.
If you would like to speak to her, she will be available in the playground on the morning of Tuesday 20th January from 8:30- 8:45am.
She would also like to meet with a group of parents in the staff room on Tuesday afternoon from 2:50 - 3:15pm. If you would be interested in being part of this group, please click here to register your interest. Please complete this form by 10am on Monday 19th January. You will be contacted to confirm you are going to be in the group to meet with her on Monday.
I have reattached the letter regarding the SIAMS inspection for your convenience.
Kind regards
Mrs Davis

AFTER SCHOOL CLUB SNACKS
Dear parents and carers,
Following the notice in the last Parish Post we would like to reiterate that children may bring only fruit or vegetables for their after-school snack.
This decision has been made primarily to ensure the safety of all pupils, particularly those with allergies, as other food items can pose risks that are difficult for the staff at the many after school clubs that we offer to manage consistently in a mixed group setting. This approach allows us to provide a clear, simple, and safe system for everyone.
We hope that these measures will make all club providers more comfortable accepting children with severe allergies into their clubs, making all clubs more inclusive for all.
Your support and cooperation in this matter is much appreciated.
Kind regards,
