Spring (2) term 2026

RECEPTION PARENTS FORUM

Dear Reception parents

Miss Wallace and I are going to hold a Reception parents’ forum on Wednesday 25th February from 2.45 – 3.10pm in the Studio. This is an opportunity to ask us questions about the Reception year and learning environment. If you have questions about your individual child then email your class teacher and / or Miss Wallace who is your phase leader.

Please come to the main office for 2.40pm to be signed in and then the forum can start at 2.45pm. We do have to finish promptly at 3.10pm.

So we know how many chairs to put out, email Claire at pa@reigate-parish.surrey.sch.uk to say you are attending.

It has been another busy half term for Reception children with so much learning, exploring, talking and new memories made.

As we come up to the February half term holiday enjoy what the week gives and we look forward to seeing the children back in class ready for learning on Monday 23rd February.

Kind regards

Frances Davis

LADYBIRDS STAFFING

Dear Ladybird parents and carers

I am writing to inform you of a temporary staffing arrangement within the class that will be in place until the Easter break.

From now until the end of term, Miss Ives will be working as the class Teaching Assistant from Wednesday to Friday each week. Mrs Young will continue in her usual role on Mondays and Tuesdays. During this period, Mrs Young will also be working in Butterflies class for part of the week.

Miss Ives is already well known to the children and is an experienced Teaching Assistant, particularly within the Reception setting. She has a strong understanding of the Early Years curriculum and is very familiar with our routines, expectations and approaches to learning. We are confident that her experience and enthusiasm will ensure continuity and high-quality support for the children.

Miss Ives is very much looking forward to working closely with your child and supporting them in the next stage of their learning journey. As always, our priority is to ensure that all children feel secure, supported and encouraged to make excellent progress.

If you have any questions regarding this arrangement, please do not hesitate to contact school.

Kind Regards

Mrs Davis.

UPDATE ABOUT THE RECEPTION CHILDREN’S INTEGRATION AT LUNCHTIME.

Dear parents & carers,

The Reception children have had a brilliant first week back at school. This week the children have accessed all of OPAL, including the MUGA, playground, woodland and indoor OPAL. They have really enjoyed the opportunity to explore the different areas and resources with their peers. Look out for some photos in the Reception outdoor area.

Many thanks,

The Reception team.
