Appointment of a new Headteacher
As you will be aware the Governors have been seeking to appoint a new headteacher to lead the school following the departure of Mrs Liz Wombwell last Easter. The Governors re-advertised the vacancy earlier this year and have now completed the interview process.
We are pleased to be able to confirm the appointment of Miss Frances Ayres, our current interim head, as the school’s new headteacher with effect from the end of the spring term 2010 bringing to an end the uncertainty of the last 12 months.
We firmly believe that the appointment of Miss Ayres will allow the school to move forward under her leadership. She is keen to continue to focus on providing the best possible education for your children and helping Reigate Parish to be a school where all are able to learn and develop in a safe, caring environment. Miss Ayres brings considerable experience to this role from her previous position as Deputy Head at Merstham Primary School and is looking forward to the challenges of leading Reigate Parish in the next phase of its development.
We are sure that you will all make Miss Ayres welcome in this new role and continue to provide her and all of the staff at the school support in the coming months.
