Summer Term

Reading Books
We change our home reading books on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Thankyou to Mrs Ashdown, Mrs Jackson and Mrs Elliott for helping the chidren select appropriate books. Please feel free to come and discuss your child's reading with us at any time.
Library Books
Library books are changed weekly and are intended to be shared with your child rather than used as a reading book.
Ladybirds change their books on Mondays. Thankyou to Mrs Pope for your help with this each week.

This half term we will be learning about vowels and consonents.
Cursive Writing
We are practising writing our name using cursive handwriting. We have sent home an example of your child's name in cursive script for you to practise with your child. For more information about cursive writing click on the link below.
Tricky Words
You will find links below to the sets of tricky words we are currently learning. We will be learning 3 or four new words a week and the download gives two cards for each word. These can be printed off and cut up to play games such as pairs and snap to help your child learn to read them.
