"I became a Governor in 2002 when my daughter was at the school. Being a teacher, parent and member of St Marys Church, I bring an understanding of the way in which there is a need for partnership working to ensure the best opportunities for all the children at Reigate Parish."

“I was appointed diocesan governor at Reigate Parish School at the beginning of the 2010/11 academic year following an advertisement in the notices at my church, Holy Trinity in Redhill. My two children have both benefited from an educational life at church schools and for me it was an opportunity to put something back into the system that has served them both so well. I will be serving on the Resources Committee and acting as Link Governor with the Local Authority. As a local authority employee myself I work for the Early Years & Childcare Service as a Business Consultant and I am looking forward to becoming involved in lots of different aspects of school life.”

I see the church’s involvement in all aspects of the local community as central to our mission & purpose and am delighted to able to build upon the excellent relationship between the Parish School and St Mary’s. I love being involved in various aspects of school life including church services, assemblies and more generally as part of the governing body."

"I am a member of the governing body and attend all the sub-committee meetings as part of my role as headteacher. I have been a teacher for 15 years working in three other schools and I am passionate about giving all children every opportunity to succeed. I enjoy being the headteacher of Reigate Parish Church School because everyone cares about the well-being of the children and everyone does their best to see the children learn, develop and progress. I work with the governors in their statutory role of ensuring the school sets and reaches high standards of educational achievement for the children at Reigate Parish Church School."

"I started teaching at Reigate Parish in 2004 and in September 2009 became Deputy Head. At the same time I was delighted to join the governing body as a Teacher Governor. As part of the governing body I bring a teacher’s perspective to any issues raised and hope to maintain a strong and effective partnership between the teaching staff and the governors for the good of our school."

Newly appointed in Autumn 2011 - Foundation Governor (PCC) on the Curriculum and Pupil Welfare Committee.
As a member of St Mary's Church I was keen to accept this opportunity to give something back to the school that both my children attended and which I see as being a real aid in nurturing the development of their faith. The relevant experience I hope to bring is both that of a parent and professionally as a a researcher having previously worked for the National Foundation for Educational Ressearch, the Education Department of a London Borough and as a civil servant in the former Department for Education. and Employment.

I currently have two children at the Parish with another hopefully to follow and was delighted to be appointed as Parent Governor in October 2009. I look forward to bringing a parent’s perspective to the governing body and ensure that the school continues to strive for ways to move forward. As a civil engineering consultant I am also looking forward to using some of my skills to the Resources Committee."

"I am a new governor since 1 September 2010. I am a grandparent of a 28 month old boy and a 6 month old girl. With my family I run a group of care homes, founded in 1983, for the elderly and younger adults. I am a member of the Rotary Club of Reigate and was president during 2009/2010.I am interested in educational development and hope I can bring my managerial skills to the governing body."

Parent Governor on the Resources committee and Treasurer for the Govrning Body
"I am Dad of three boys, (one who has just left the school, one in year one and one at the Parish Playgroup) so I will be linked as a parent to the school for over 5 years. I work actively within the school PTA and have helped organise the school fireworks display for the last 3 years. I was elected in October 2010 and will serve on the Resources Committee. The nurturing and supportive education delivered by the teaching staff of the school is impressive. I am looking forward to being part of the team that works to create a safe, inspiring and rewarding school environment for the children. I work as hard and enthusiastically as I can to help the children of Reigate Parish achieve their full potential."

Support Staff Governor serving on the Resources committee
"I have been a teaching assistant and lunchtime supervisor at the school since 2004. Previously my children attended the school and were very happy here; I have also been Treasurer of the PTA. I am on the Resources Committee where I hope my background in local government finance will be helpful. As the support staff governor I am a link between the non-teaching staff and the leadership team.”
